Gradekeeper Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important. Your name and your student names and information are only stored in your classes. I do not have access to your classes and no data is collected as a result of your use of the Gradekeeper web app. No information I receive as a result of your purchase of this app will be shared with anyone else.
If you use the Dropbox edition of the Gradekeeper web app, your classes will be saved in your Dropbox. Gradekeeper will only access a class when you choose to open that class. Gradekeeper will only have access to the contents of the Gradekeeper folder inside the Apps folder in your Dropbox. If you authenticate to your Google account from Gradekeeper, you will be giving Gradekeeper permission to send email reports using your Gmail account.
If you use the Microsoft OneDrive edition of the Gradekeeper web app, your classes will be saved in your OneDrive. Gradekeeper will only access a class when you choose to open that class. Gradekeeper will not access any other file in your OneDrive. Email reports will be sent using the email account associated with your Microsoft account.
If you use the Google Drive edition of the Gradekeeper web app, you will be giving Gradekeeper permission to send email reports using your Gmail account, and to create, open, and save your classes from your Google Drive. If you import a class from Google Classroom, you will be giving Gradekeeper permission to access your classes, course work, students, student submissions, and grades. Gradekeeper will only access your classes when you choose to do so. Gradekeeper will not access any other information from your Google account.
Your classes are encrypted when they are opened or saved so that nobody else can access them.
The Gradekeeper web app does not do any advertising nor does it save any information that could be used to track you. The Gradekeeper web app does not save any cookies. The Gradekeeper web app does save your registration code to verify that you have paid for the use of the app, and it saves authentication tokens that allow it to access your classes in Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive. These items are saved as application data and only the Gradekeeper web app can access them.
